AQUACLEAR ZEF filters are designed for removing turbidity from water. These filters contain a special media made of clinoptilolite, which has 100 times the contact surface area compared to quartz sand. They effectively remove suspended particles larger than 5 µm. Additionally, due to the structure of the media, the pressure drops are lower compared to conventional sand filters, allowing for higher filtration rates and capacities, with reduced water consumption for backwashing.
Small flow filters, up to 10 m³/h, are made from glass-reinforced polyester resins (GRP) and feature a programmable control valve for managing filter operation and backwashing. Standard backwashing is time-based, with an optional differential pressure control.
Larger flow pressure filters, up to 50 m³/h, are made from carbon steel with appropriate corrosion protection or stainless steel. The operation of these filters is controlled by a programmable electronic unit, typically with five automatic valves that direct the flow of water through filtration, backwashing, and flushing phases.
